How To Loose Weight And Keep It Off

Almost every single day I see or hear amazing stories where people lose incredible amounts of weight very quickly. And to be honest with you I am tired of all those media hyped stories. And what exactly is weight loss? Weight loss is not fat loss. This “weight” can be water, lean tissue or muscle. The faster you lose “weight” the greater the chance of relapse, weight re-gain and long term failure. What really impresses me is if someone can reach their ideal weight and maintain it for many years. That is impressive.

So how to you keep your weight off?

A recent study called “Dietary and physical activity behaviors among adults successful at weight loss maintenancedid a survey. It turned out that one-third were successful at keeping their weight off.They wanted to know what were the differences between those two groups.

Both the maintainers and non-maintainers reduced the amount of food they ate, consumed smaller portions, ate fruits and vegetables, less fatty foods and so on. There were no real differences between those groups in that departement.

But the first and a very important difference was that maintainers exercised 30 minutes or more daily. Maintainers also included other activites and sports into their schedule. The other big difference was that they also reduced the amount of sedentary activities (watching TV, surfing in the internet etc.)

My top 5 tips to help you keep weight off for good are:

1) Use exercise, physical activites, sports to increase your daily activity level. Exercise is so important to maintain weight.

2) Cut back your web surfing, TV watching, computer games and decreasing sedentary activites in general. Instead go walk in the park, play with your kids, go camping or hiking. There are so many things you can do.

3) Using weight training while losing fat and during maintanance period. It doesn´t matter if you are a man or a woman, old or young you can find programs that work for you in any gym.

4) Count calories. Although some “experts” say that calories don´t count, it is very important to count them. You also have to weigh your food, measure portion sizes. keep track of your weight and body fat percentage.

5) And the final tip is to stop finding silly excuses. It is important to be motivated and positive. You can always find time for yourself, even if you feel otherwise. You can have all the knowledge about losing weight, but if you don´t do anything about it, then nothing happens.

    I heard that when you loose weight, you loose your breasts because that area is mostly fat. How can I loose weight but keep my breasts the same size?

    You can’t really but you can keep the appearance by using a padded and/or push up bra.

    It’s actually kind of hard. Because your boobs are one of the first things that starts to get smaller. You’ll lose fat in your face then lose your boobs. So my best bet would be to talk to your doctor and see the best methods. They always have some way to keep boobs around…lol

  6. Breast implants would be the only way. You heard right too, because breast are mostly fat, and when you lose weight, you lose it as a whole on your body, your breast will get smaller. As to how much depends on how much weight you lose. I would say it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, as you’ll still be proportional. You’ll get smaller, and your breasts will too, but you’ll still look the same.

  10. It depends mainly on how much weight you have to lose and how big you are. If you’re obese or morbidly obese then you will lose some size in your breasts b/c it contains unhealthy fat, not "breast fat." If you’re not that big and are only planning to lose 10-20 pounds than the loss should be negligible. The only thing I can say to you is that if you get yourself to a decent weight and your breasts are significantly smaller that your boobs were all bad fat and not "boob fat."

  12. What you have heard is partially true. Your breasts are made up of a combination of fat and milk ducts. It depends on how much of your breast is fat and how much is milk duct and every body is different. When you lose weight you lose it all over. If you only have a few lbs. to lose you will probably not notice much difference in the size of your breasts. I am a bridal consultant and every bride I work with says they are going to lose weight for their wedding. The rule of thumb is you have to lose 20lbs. to drop one dress size. 20lbs. won’t make much difference in the size of your breasts.

If your body is like mine… then yea… You’ll lose a little of the boobage at first… But I lost 20 lbs and I still have some boobs, I use to be a full 34b, Now Im still a 34b but I can tell a difference… Could just be me tho, my husband says he cant tell… I did however lose my booty, and that… anyone can notice.
