A Weight Loss Diet Tip That Really Works

Many people search for a magical weight loss diet tip that will help them shed the pounds and keep them off. But is there really any such thing? If all the best information could be packaged into one workable piece of advice, then maybe that would be the magical tip people yearn for.

The soundest weight loss advice can be summarized as this weight loss diet tip: do not eat processed foods. That includes any white flour products and any sodas, including diet sodas. That’s it. That one tip could reverse the trend of increasing obesity in America and begin to restore people to normal balance.

The reason is that the standard American diet (SAD – and it is) is very high in simple carbohydrates that convert quickly to blood sugar. This forces the pancreas to produce more insulin. Eventually, the pancreas gets worn out, the insulin receptors on the fat cells stop working properly and people develop obesity and related illnesses such as diabetes.

This is the only weight loss diet tip that will work for the long term and not only allow the body to lose weight but also reverse diseases like diabetes and reduce the risk of heart disease. Of course, the amount of food eaten is going to impact your weight, and if you decide to replace our SAD diet with loaves of whole grain bread, you may be healthier but you’ll probably still be overweight.

If you want to lose weight, you need to burn more energy than you take in through food. Increasing exercise can certainly help you do this and avoiding fast and other processed foods will make it easy to decrease calorie consumption as well as avoiding foods that elevate your blood glucose levels.

The more natural your diet, the more active your lifestyle, the more you drink adequate amounts of pure water and the more you can avoid chemicals and other toxins, the better your chances of being restored to a healthy weight and the easier it will be to stay there.

Any weight loss diet tip that doesn’t prescribe lifestyle change isn’t worth listening to. Do yourself a favor and reject artificial, mass-produced food products. Go back to a more natural way of living. Eat living foods that will impart to you some of their own vitality. Food is fuel. If what you are eating is not good fuel for your body, it is best to avoid it. This is the one magical weight loss diet tip that works. Why not put it to the test?

  1. Does the Nutrisystem Weight Loss Diet Program really work?
I plan on getting on the weight loss program in November (after having a baby). I would like to know if it really works???!!!! Just checked out their website and started looking around. I can’t find a price without letting them know my personal information. Does anyone know about how much it cost? Did it work for you? My plan is to drop about 50-60 pounds. The reason I am considering Nutrisystem is because the food is already made. With having a new baby I will be pressed for time. Please only respond if you have tried it or know someone that has. Thanks everyone!

  2. about 10 bucks a day…. you can also do this diet on your own with out ordering their food…. its called the glycemic diet… or sugar busters… if you need the food sent to you to stay on track its a good way to go

  3. Nutisystem works, as long as you follow the plan diligently. If you are nursing find out from your doctor if you can start the program. There are pills that you have to take. It’s very expensive for the start up. Around $300-$350. The food is so so. Once you find things that aren’t totally gross you’ll be okay.

  4. cost about 400 a month…. only works if you eat the food with excersice… food is nasty and its hard to get off the billing system as they send you food on a regular basis and auto bill you

A healthy diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, lots of water, combine with some exercise is the key!
Lay off the bad carbs like cake, white bread, crackers, etc.
Keep away from fried foods. You can add some olive oil to stir fry.
Load up on veggies, whole grains, fish, chicken, and lean meats.
No need to pay all that extra cash.
just spend more calories than you put in.

I think it will work, but you need to have an exercise routine each and everyday because exercise helps take the fat off as well. At least 30 minutes a day.

Remember to keep your calorie intake the same once off the diet or you could gain it back.

  8. I have tried it and it will work if you follow the plan religiously and exercise. I thought some of the food nasty too and the only way I could eat some of it was if I was starving. I did not care for the fact that it limited my fruit. The soy chips had to be thrown away. Very expensive too.

I did a lot of research on it after my second child 6 years ago, and decided against it because it was ridiculously expensive (I feed four of us on less money per month than than it would cost for a month of Nutrisystem food for one person). Also, you have to add your own fruits and vegetables to some things, so there’s more money. And all I could find was complaints from people who had been to hell and back trying to get them to stop charging them whenever they didn’t want their nasty food anymore (and yeah, lots of talk about how gross it is!).

A local DJ where I live has done it twice, and talked about it on the air for us to hear. She says the best thing about it is portion control, but the food is not very tasty and it costs too much.

If you just want the convenience of pre-cooked stuff, you could do just as well with a sensible breakfast and 2 Lean Cuisines per day for a lot less money – and Lean Cuisines actually taste good!

    Hi,
I just ordered Nutrisystem on Saturday 8/25/07 and I recieved my box of food yesterday 8/29/07. I have been on it for 2 full days! The first day I hated the first 2 things I ate and I was pretty pissed off and thought I would deffinatly quit. But today, however, everything I ate was actually really good!! I oredered the variety pack and my next month I’ll get to choose which meals I like. You get ALOT of food and you eat like 6 times a day. They give you one week free…so it’s 5 whole weeks of food. I paid exactly $293.90. It just was charged onto my credit card today. The people on the site are really cool and there are chat boards and free online classes. There is a lot to do on the site and it’s quite fun making friends that are doing the same thing you are. I work ALOT, so I think that this is the best diet plan for me. I have gained 45 pounds since having my daughter 9 months ago (in November also). So far i feel like i have more energy and I’m happy with it. Don’t just take my advice though….I’ve only been on it for 2 days. Best of Luck!!! : )

Some experience so far. A LOT of internet searching and some co-workers who have lost weight on it.

  11. Hi! I am 20 years old and I just started Nutrisystem 6 weeks ago. I have lost 15 pounds since the first day. I have only exercised once a week because I have been really busy with work and school. I pay $294 a month, and after the 3rd Auto-Delivery they drop payments to $277. Also, I received a free week of food with my first delivery and also with my second. You dont get to pick what free food they send you, but you do get to exchange it. You will still need to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables on the diet. I also eat two yogurts a day and it really helps.

True, some of the foods aren’t good, but you have to find the right ones. If you choose to try Nutrisystem, here are some of my favorites:

Breakfast: chocolate chip granola bar, chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, strawberry toaster pastry, cinnamon swirl granola bar, apple cinnamon oatmeal.

Lunch: Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar, Trail Mix Bar, Fudge Graham Bar

Dinner: Thick Crust Pizza, Thin Crust Pizza

Dessert: Chocolate Crunch Bar, Mint Chocolate Crunch Bar, Strawberry Shortcake Bar

Like I said, I have only been on the program 6 weeks so I am still finding out what I do and dont like. And I would probably be losing more weight if I made more time to exercise.

    Hope this helps you :)

PS the pizzas are REALLY good!!
